Whether you’re a sportsman or not, a seasoned cyclotourist, a Sunday cyclist or a lover of the simple pleasures of a family bike ride, you’re bound to find something to suit you! The Arcachon basin is full of itineraries that combine sport, nature and cultural discovery. Another piece of good news is that we can lend you bicycles directly from the campsite (subject to availability). Practical for travelling light or doing a bit of cycling during the vacations without having to invest in a two-wheeler!
A short stroll of a few kilometers to get you going?
Discover the Teich walk, directly accessible from the campsite, the forest that runs alongside the Leyre Delta, the Fontaine Saint-Jean and its miraculous spring amidst heather and arbutus, not forgetting the Réserve ornithologique du Teich where thousands of wild birds can be observed.
The must-see itineraries for a feast for the eyes?
For a gentle start, choose the Ville d’Hiver loop (5 km), which offers magnificent views of the Basin. Want more? Follow the Arcachon to Dune du Pilat circuit (25 km) and discover the seafront, the port of Arcachon, the chic Moulleau district, then the state forest of La Teste-de-Buch before arriving at the foot of the highest dune in Europe! Escape guaranteed! Ready to take on any challenge? If you’ve got calves of steel, maybe you’d like to try the complete one-day Tour of the Arcachon Basin, covering 77 km from Cap-Ferret to the Dune du Pilat!
