Les Halles d’Arcachon and the open-air market (year-round)

All year round, from Tuesday to Sunday, visit the Halle Baltard in the town center. This covered market is an institution for locals and a must for tourists on vacation in Arcachon. It’s colorful, smells good and the shopkeepers are very friendly. You’ll find a wide selection of regional products: fresh fruit and vegetables, meats (at Tony’s), charcuterie, tapenades, local cheeses, wines, cannelés… Not forgetting Bassin oysters (local specialties), fish and shellfish. There is something for everyone. A real treat!

To complement Les Halles, a traditional open-air market is set up around Les Halles d’Arcachon, again offering a wide choice. Food products, crafts, flowers and hawkers of all kinds can be found side by side.

AFTER MARKET: Don’t miss a stop at Bouchon des Halles, a gourmet bistro perfect for an after-market aperitif, with well-stocked charcuterie boards and quality cheeses.
